Atlas is a bipedal, humanoid robot developed by Boston Dynamics. Its performance is quite impressive. It can walk, run, dance, climb stairs. You might have watched its dance posted by Boston Dynamics on their Youtube channel. It is capable to walk on different terrains. Its speed is 1.5 m/s with a height of 1.5m and weight of 80kg.

It is most dynamic robot in world that can perform parkour and back flip.

It was unveiled to the public on July 11, 2013.

ASIMO

ASIMO is also a bipedal humanoid robot developed by Honda. Its name ASIMO stands for Advanced Step in Innovation Mobility. It can also walk, run, climb stairs. And it can interact with human beings.

It was first introduced in 2000. But many modifications had been done. And the latest version is more autonomous and can perform without human help.

ASIMO is 130cm tall and weighs 48kg. It has a total of 57 degrees of freedom in the latest version.

Pepper

Pepper is a 3-wheeled, semi-humanoid, social robot developed by Softbank Robotics. It interacts with humans. It can recognize faces and basic human emotions. Other functionality includes speech recognition and dialogue delivery in 15 different languages.

It was first introduced in a conference on 5 June 2014.

Pepper is 120 cm tall and has 20 degrees of freedom. There is a touch screen in the chest to display the content and highlight messages.

Sophia

Sophia is a social humanoid robot developed by Hanson Robotics. It is the first robot to get citizenship of a country.

The AI of Sophia includes symbolic AI, neural networks, expert systems, machine perception, conversational natural language processing, adaptive motor control, and cognitive architecture among others.

Sophia was activated on February 14, 2016. She got the citizenship of Saudi Arabia in 2017.

She has the capability to talk, recognize human emotions, show some emotions, walk by herself, move hands while talking.

Digit

Digit is a bipedal humanoid robot designed to move in more dynamic surroundings. It carries out tasks like package delivery.

It has the capability of stairs climbing and footstep planning with legs with 4 degree-of-freedom.
